Learning with the South (World Social Forum 2013, March 29th)

Learning with the South: Conversations on Global Pedagogies of Power and Transformation

Friday March 29, at 1-3:30pm. Room E7. World Social Forum 2013 in Tunis.

Organized by Vasemmistofoorumi (Left Forum, Finland), Transform! Europe and Into Books.

We will reflect on how movements and organizations of the Global North can learn from and with the Global South. We will also ask to what extent the World Social Forum is becoming a space for such learning.

The participants of the conversation include: Giuseppe Caruso, Meena Menon, Geoffrey Pleyers, Teivo Teivainen, Virginia Vargas and Immanuel Wallerstein.

The session forms part of the WSF thematic axis: For a radical deepening of the revolutionary and decolonization processes in the North as well as in the South.

During the session we will also present three new books by Into that delve deeper into our theme. You can download them at the Into site.
